from today's devotional: TAKE ACTION

Take action.

Life will get pretty boring if we don’t do anything with it. Living a better story means standing up to things that you know are wrong, standing for things that you want to see changed, and acting on things that you’re passionate about.

Maybe for you it’s standing up against people who are getting picked on at school. Or maybe you see one of your siblings picking on another sibling and you stand up for them. Or maybe it's helping others at school who are having a hard time with their homework. Or maybe it’s being there for a friend when they need you. Or maybe it's helping a mission that supports the homeless.

What is that thing — that one thing — that you know you can do something about right now?

God has made you for a purpose. He has created you to do good things. That is a faith that is alive and active.

So figure out how God can use you, and go and do something about it.

More to Come

There's so much more to come. I'm so excited to be exactly where I am right now.

Writer Problem RESOLVED

PROBLEM:  My manuscript is handwritten in composition notebooks.

Love the experience of handwriting the story, but having trouble keeping track of the story because it's in two of three different notebooks that include parts of my novel.

RESOLUTION: Type the story next week and finish the novel.

Inside My First Novel

There are truths that some would deny -- and others ... well, others can't afford the luxury of denial "[f]or we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Old Manuscript Discovered

Cleaning out my closet today, in an effort to reorganize my office and writing space, I discovered an old manuscript behind a stack of books.

I delighted in this discovery because the person I was when I wrote it ... is back!!!

Looking forward to revising and publishing.   To sweeten the find, two journals of poetry were later discovered; they were mixed in with books ... on writing.   LOL
